Ignoring what happened against Pittsburgh, Columbus was able to come out on top in their fight against Philadelphia.
Jonesy with the overtime winner, the Jackets were able to secure two points putting the good guys in the first wild card spot.

Right now, Columbus is tied with Pittsburgh at 75 points and trail the third team in the Metro, Carolina, by a singular point.
There’s not many games left in the season, so every single point counts. As it stands, Columbus will be in the playoffs, but if they’re not careful, post-season hockey can quickly slip through their fingers.
That’s why they’re going to beat Edmonton today!
Now, my friend Amanda is an Oilers fan, so I should go easy on them, but then, that wouldn’t make me a very good friend would it?
Friendship goes out the window when it comes to hockey.
We will beat Edmonton.
Let’s take a look at Etown’s record: 27-30-7. They have an impressive 61 points and a -34 goal differential.
They technically still have a chance to make the playoffs, but it’s about as likely as Bettman admitting he’s just a money grabbing buffoon.
If they miss out on some post-season hockey this time around, it will be the second year in a row.
They’ve got some star players, so what’s happening? Why is Edmonton struggling for a playoff spot? Well, some stars is all they’ve got.
Connor McDavid is having a great season as always, leading the team in points and currently ranks third in the entire NHL. In 60 games, he’s 33 goals and 54 assists.
He also averages the most ice time of any forward in the league. The young captain plays an impressive 22 minutes and 58 seconds per game.
The team also has Leon Draisaitl who is one of the league’s top scorers with 39 goals.
They also have the adorable Nugget who has a 20-36-56 record this season.
Past that? Edmonton isn’t exactly stellar. They’ve allowed 3.30 goals per game and they rank third from the bottom on power plays. Columbus, however, has scored a PPG in three straight games.
In other news, I’m excited to welcome back Sam Gagner! He was a good player, and I was sad to see him go. He even signed my jersey.
Look for Wenny to be out of the lineup again. As well as Lukas Sedlak, Markus Hannikainen, Dean Kukan, and Keith Kinkaide.
Obviously, there’s a chance these scratches could change, so keep an eye out for these guys on the ice.

I make a lot of jokes, but I kind of love Edmonton, and I know Amanda would be mad if I didn’t say at least say one nice thing about them. May the best team win! Cough Columbus Cough
