The Capitals are Washing"done" Against the Blue Jackets in Tomorrow's Matchup

Back on home ice, the Columbus Blue Jackets will take on the Washington Capitals for the final time this season.

As of right now, the Jackets are beating the Caps in the series. In their first fight waaaaaay back in November, CBJ narrowly beat the Capitals 2-1.

I would say it was a good game, but I honestly have no idea.

I can't remember this morning, you think I can remember all the way back to November? Nah, son.

Their next match up in December was less successful. Washington absolutely dominated Columbus 4-0. They weren't even able to makeup for it in their next game a few days later against Vancouver where they lost again 3-2.

Don't fret though. Sports fans have the memory of a goldfish. Honestly, if I didn't do this recap, would you have remembered our last two match-ups? I didn't think so.

The third game in the series was a hard fought victory. The good guys were able to bring home a win after fighting to the death in overtime. The death being Washington's pride.

On Columbus' side of the ice, they're looking for their fourth straight win. How they managed that is beyond me, but I'm not about to question the hockey gods.

Mario Lemieux came down and blessed Columbus because by some strange turn of events, they won 6-3 against Colorado, 4-2 against Arizona, and 4-3 against Vegas.

None of the teams are easy to beat, especially this far into the season, but Vegas is an especially pesky opponent. Listen as Sergei Bobrovsky gives his thoughts on the game:

On Washington's side, they played the LA Kings tonight and were able to defeat LA in a harrowing 6-4 victory.

Prior to that, they played the Florida Panthers where they lost 5-4. Which is sad because Florida was just decimated by Tampa Bay 5-2. You'd think the reigning Stanley Cup champions would be able to take them.

Washington also won their previous matches against Colorado, 4-3, and Vancouver, 3-2.

Columbus and Washington face off with both teams in good standing. Washington currently maintains the second spot in the Metro with 69 points, while the boys in blue trail behind at 65 points. The Jackets are also third in the division and rank 12th in the league.

Columbus this season has a 54-31-20 record and Washington has 56-31-18.

In other super exciting news, tomorrow night, Cam will be the sixth CBJ player to appear in his 500th game. He boasts a record of 176-151-327 in his 499 games.

I can't wait to see him beat up Washington and add to his stats.

So what do you think? How does the CBJ rank against the Caps? Let me know in the comments below!
