Columbus Looks for Redemption After a Devastating Loss

On Tuesday night, the Jackets played the Arizona Coyotes and suffered a 4-1 loss. This is the second time in four days Columbus has been singing the blues after they also lost to Chicago 4-1.
Fans are starting to get upset and wonder what is going on, but Tortorella still feels confident in the team.
“It’s not doom and gloom here. I don’t think we’re far off. I don’t. I think we’re pressing offensively. We had 17 missed shots,” commented Tortorella.
Another point of contention is Sergei Bobrovsky. On 12 scoring chances, Bob let in four goals. While Torts isn’t putting full blame on the goaltender, he acknowledges that he needs to get better.
“This is a team and a big part of our success is him,” Tortorella stated, "I’m certainly not laying the blame of a loss on the goaltender, but he’s got to be better too, just like everyone else on this team.
Another player not doing so hot is Artemi Panarin who was recently moved from the top line to the second line. Nick Foligno took the winger’s spot alongside center Pierre-Luc Dubois and Cam Atkinson.
The team plays best when they’re physical, and they need to get back to that physicality. Columbus was a team to be reckoned with two years ago and even last season. Opponents hated being in Nationwide Arena.
Torts is making some line changes for tonight’s game. Markus Hannikainen and Scott Harrington will find their ways into the lineup tonight in lieu of Sonny Milano and Dean Kukan.
Additionally, Seth Jones will be back in the lineup for the second time. He was released a little early and made his debut against the ‘Yotes.
Joonas Korpisalo will be in net against the St. Louis Blues tonight, replacing Sergei Bobrovsky. Korpisalo hasn’t started since the game against the Florida Panthers on October 11. He made 37 saves and brought home a 5-4 victory.
On the Blues end, the club has beaten the Blue Jackets in three straight games at home. Since 2007, they’re 20-4-1 in St. Louis against Columbus.
