Game 2: Columbus vs. Washington

Columbus holds a 1-0 lead over the Capitals, and hope to increase their lead tonight.
The Blue Jackets came from behind to win their first game in the nation's capital.
By all means, it looked like the Jackets were going to lose the first round. Washington scored two goals at the end of the opening period, the second less than a minute after the first. Evgeny Kuznetsov scored both goals on the power play.
Josh Anderson was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding Michal Kempny which then led to the two goals from Kuznetsov.
After the unfortunate Anderson penalty in the first, Alexander Wennberg was able to cut the deficit in half five minutes into the second period, and then Thomas Vanek tied the game less than two minutes into the third period.
Devante Smith-Pelly pushed Washington ahead, but Seth Jones was able to sneak the puck past Grubauer to tie the game, forcing it into overtime.
Playoff overtime differs from the regular season. It's still sudden death rules, but instead of the extra five minutes of 3-on-3, they play an additional 20 minutes of 5-on-5. The game will continue in this format until one of the teams score. There are no shootouts in the playoffs, meaning the teams could play upwards of three 20-minute overtimes.
Luckily it didn't have to come to that as Artemi Panarin was able to score early on; six minutes in to be exact.
Alexander Wennberg was illegally hit in the head by Washington's Tom Wilson, and is considered day-to-day. It's likely he'll miss out on tonight's matchup, so Sonny Milano will be back in the lineup.
Nick Foligno will move up to the second line to fill Wennberg's place, and Brandon Dubinsky will move to the center position on the third line. Milano will be playing left wing with Dubinsky.
Dubinsky is hoping to use this as an opportunity to prove himself. The playoffs act as a sort of reset for players, and Dubinsky looks forward to it. The regular season wasn't exactly stellar for the veteran as he only got 6 goals in his 62 games.
Anderson wasn't happy about the misconduct call. Nevertheless, he says he will not scale back his physicality and aggressiveness.
"It's the playoffs," Anderson said. "It's going to be a physical series … I'm not going to back off. That's how I play. I'm going to continue to play that way. I'm going to be physical."
Game 1 was a physical one. Wennberg was injured when he was sandwiched between Wilson and Ovechkin, Anderson got the misconduct, and Nick Foligno took a puck to his face.
Jakub Jerabek shot the puck and it caught Foligno under the eye. The veteran caught the puck just under the shield and went down immediately. The medic came out to help Foligno, but the captain was already on his way to the tunnel, bleeding the whole way.
The most incredible part? Foligno didn't even miss a shift. The refs had to clean up all the blood off the ice, and by time they finished, Nick was all stitched up and ready to play. There's a reason the man wears the C.
He watched the recap of the shot once, and that was enough for him. He did live through it after all. Despite the bloody scene, Foligno said he would do it all over again if need be.
Sergei Bobrovsky is expected to start for Columbus, and Grubauer will make his second appearance as well.
